It is a relatively newcomer to the lapidary scene, it has rapidly gained popularity as a distinctive, colorful pink or peach jasper, with light pink and cream colored chalcedony. The white cloud-like breccia is what gives this stone its savory name.

Usually banded in layers, or stripes, some varieties have “eye” markings, or specks of color. Called the earth rainbow, the concentric bands of Agate form in nearly every color the earth can produce, including a colorless form.
